The ROYAL TREATMENT (Back to Top)
This is my own definitive term to describe my most popular
80 minute full body treatment using an unhurried combination of several modalities listed below and usually concluding with foot reflexology and a brief facial. I use an intuitive approach in order to meet the specific needs of each of my clients.
You will really enjoy your session in the most relaxing and
rejuvenating environment with a very comfortable custom
built massage table, soothing music, soft back-lighting and
or candle light, warm healthful aromatherapy using totally
non-toxic, non-greasy absorbable oils or lotions, and warmed linen & towels.
My personal commitment to you is this.., to offer an 80 minute treatment at the price that many pay for only 60 minutes and make my exclusive Royal Treatment, your absolutely best personal massage therapy experience.
Therapeutic Massage (Back to Top)
This popular modality involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm and stress, and to promote health and wellness.
Therapeutic Massage is a most helpful approach when combined with my other techniques to alleviate discomfort, reduce stress, and conclude with relaxation.
Swedish Massage (Back to Top)
This is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation.
The benefits of the most commonly recognized Swedish Massage type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater joint and muscular flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage (Back to Top)
This more intensive form of bodywork aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of muscular tissue in the body and is a highly effective method for releasing the chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.
Keep in mind that some soreness in targeted areas is pretty common after this treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the Deep Tissue Massage during treatment.
And please note: Due to the nature of this deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't become too uncomfortable.
Trigger Point Therapy (Back to Top)
This style of bodywork focuses on stimulating and releasing the “trigger points” in your body. Trigger Point Therapy addresses those tender areas of muscle tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle tissue rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These ‘knots’ may be built up throughout a person’s life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress.
During this type of work which is usually a part of a multi-modality or combination treatment, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques in order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite uncomfortable at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Back to Top)
This healthful technique aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system.
It is important to note, as both a preventative and remedial technique, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of lymphatic swelling, discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.
Pre-Natal Massage (Back to Top)
The Pre-Natal Massage bodywork is designed specifically for pregnant women at a time in which a woman’s body endures the tremendous stress due to dramatic physical, mental, and emotional changes. Using various techniques specifically for the new mother, pregnancy massage (as it is sometimes also referred to) helps alleviate the discomforts experienced throughout the pregnancy.
The benefits can be very helpful, including emotional support, the reduction of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, improved breathing and relaxation, and relief from uncomfortable digestive issues. This treatment is offered months 4 through 8 only.
Reflexology (Back to Top)
This special type of bodywork focuses on applying pressure to specific nerve zones in your feet...sometimes the hands. Unlike any other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, Reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body.
In understanding the art of Reflexology with the recorded practice many centries ago in both Egypt and China, every part of the human body is mapped into the feet. These treatments have been found to be highly effective for numerous conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression, and very helpful in locating/identifying other problems.
